Had our daughters baby shower at the lord Nelson, amazing room, food, and the staff were exceptional, Veronica was at hand for all our needs, nothing was too much trouble, would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to hold a special gathering. Looking forward to returning for some food and drinks in the near future. Thank you so much, and please pass on our thanks to your amazing team.
Fantastic Bottomless Brunch yesterday. The food was lovely and the cocktails were absolutely amazing!! So refreshing to see a brunch with great drinks rather than just Prosecco! The espresso martini was the best we'd ever tasted!! Fantastic staff, Rachel was an absolute star.
Booked a room for my partner, my daughter and me last weekend for 2 night! Staff were very friendly, food was amazing, beds are comfortable and the rooms are very spacious! We are due to come down on 15th December for 2 nights again so will be booking again! Would highly recommend to anyone to stay or even just go in for a drink and food!
Hi Jenna, I just wanted to say thanks for the lovely refreshments provided for Mam's funeral on Tuesday. Everyone commented on how nice it all was. This included the room and decor. I did speak to Alea and said we were all pleased. My family has long standing connections with the Nelson as far back to the 50's and 60's for family occasions and weddings. It's nice to see it up and running again.
Thank you so so much! We both cannot thank you all enough! We fell in love with the venue as soon as we came to see you back in January! You've been amazing from that first meeting all the way through to the big day and beyond. I cannot fault a single thing on the day - the setup, the service, the care and the love you and the staff showed on the day/days will stay with us forever.

It was beyond beautiful, I have never known a venue and their organisers to be so helpful, the bride had no worries about anything and enjoyed her day, thank you so much, couldn't ask for a better experience from start to finish.
I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and the team, especially Carly who was amazing!!! The room was beautiful along with the food, everyone had such a lovely time. Carly was wonderful and honestly couldn't do enough for us, offering more food to the people that was gluten free and nothing was too much trouble. I'm sure we will be back for future events, it really is a beautiful venue.
